Digital Radiography (X-Rays)
Diagnostic imaging is necessary in certain situations, and the most common type of imaging is radiographs (x-rays). Radiographs allow us to view inside the body, making bones and organs visible and allowing us to understand problems and diagnose various issues.
CG&S is proudly offering digital radiography. This type of radiography allows for images to be brighter, clearer, and more functional, allowing for better diagnostic ability. You are welcome to take a copy of radiographs home with you on a disc to keep with your pet’s medical records.
Ultrasound
Another important diagnostic tool is ultrasonography. Ultrasound allows for different imaging, to view various organs throughout the body that radiographs alone cannot show. Pregnancy ultrasounds are useful to determine if the animal is indeed pregnant, and for estimations of litter sizes and due dates. Abdominal ultrasounds are excellent tools when dealing with organ problems or issues, or to obtain sterile urine samples.
