Creatures Great and Small Veterinary Hospital is an exclusively small animal practice located just north of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. As a veterinary practice, we pride ourselves on offering quality medical care for your animals and client-oriented support and service.
We appreciate our clients and patients, and strive to provide the care they deserve, treating them as our own. Started in 1999 by Dr. Meyer with her husband and business manager, Scott, CG&S has grown to a thriving 3 doctor practice thanks to our excellent clients and patients. The services provided continue to grow, including digital radiography (x-rays), ultrasonography, general surgery and orthopedic surgeries, class IV therapeutic laser treatments, and adipose (fat) derived stem cell treatments.
Our Team
Dr. Stephanie Meyer
Dr. Stephanie Meyer received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Penn State University in 1989 and then continued doing Masters work at Penn State in Animal Science. She received her Veterinary Degree from North Carolina State University in 1996. After that she practiced at Willow Run Veterinary Hospital in Smithfield, NC and an after hours small animal emergency clinic in Raleigh, NC from 1996-1999. She moved to Chambersburg, PA and started Creatures Great and Small Veterinary Hospital in April 1999. Dr. Meyer’s husband, Scott, is the business manager of Creatures Great and Small. They have three boys as well as a house full of pets: a lab named Ben, Reggie the jack russel terrier, 2 cats named Donovan and Dennis, a bunny, a snake, plus 2 goldfish.
Dr. Cortney Group
Dr. Cortney Group joined the Creatures Great & Small team in May 2019. She is originally from Greencastle, PA. She graduated in 2014 with a double major in Biology and Veterinary Medical Technology from Wilson College and she is a 2019 graduate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been married to her husband, Derrick, since 2016. They have a daughter named Kylee as well as two Shetland Sheepdogs named Kiana and Kylo. In her spare time she enjoys martial arts, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family.
